What we do not collect from kids

• No email address or password is required for a child to use the platform. Kids join a cohort with a code provided by their family.
• No real name, home address, phone number, or other personal identifiers are requested from children.
• No advertising and no third-party ad tracking. We do not sell, rent, or share personal information, and we do not run ads.

What we do store

• A display name the child chooses and their custom avatar.
• Learning progress—completed missions and earned badges—so they can pick up where they left off.
• Cohort messages, if a child uses optional cohort chat. Messages pass an automated profanity filter and are visible to program staff for safety.
• Basic anonymous technical information needed to run the service, such as an anonymous session identifier.

Parent or guardian information

When a parent or guardian enrolls or contacts us, we may collect the email address, phone number, student enrollment information, or scheduling notes you choose to provide. We use this only to coordinate enrollment and sessions or answer your questions. We do not sell it.

Public website analytics

We use Google Analytics on the public Code the Future marketing website to understand page visits and measure parent or guardian actions such as submitting an interest form or completing enrollment. We do not install this analytics tag inside the gated learner platform, send children’s names or contact information to Google Analytics, enable Google Signals, or use analytics data for personalized advertising.

How information is used and protected

We use the limited information above to operate the learning platform, run sessions, keep cohort chat safe, and communicate with families. Data is stored with reputable cloud providers using industry-standard security, and access is limited to program staff who need it to run the program and keep kids safe.

Parental rights

Parents and guardians may ask us to review, correct, or delete their child’s information—including display name, avatar, progress, and any chat messages—at any time.

Children under 13

Code the Future is designed to minimize data collection from children and relies on parents or guardians to enroll them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child beyond the limited items described above. If you believe a child provided information you want removed, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
