Fall 2026 · Louisville · Ages 8–11

Build with AI before it starts feeling like magic.

A hands-on Louisville program where older kids use real AI, practice judgment, and create things they are proud to explain.

What learners practice

Curiosity becomes practical judgment.

Game-like online missions pair with small-group sessions led by an industry operator and shaped with a child psychologist. No coding experience is required.

Understand AI

See how AI finds patterns, makes predictions, and why its answers can still be wrong.

Give clear directions

Write useful instructions, test the result, and improve prompts that do not work yet.

Check the answer

Spot weak, wrong, or misleading output instead of accepting it because a computer produced it.

Use it responsibly

Practice privacy, fairness, attribution, and healthy boundaries with modern tools.

See modern coding

Learn how clear goals, testing, iteration, and human decisions turn ideas into working projects.

Build something real

Create with AI, explain the choices behind the work, and share the finished project with confidence.

Four-module program

From “what is AI?” to “look what I built.”

MODULE 01

What Is AI?

Patterns, predictions, useful questions, and the first habits of checking an answer.

MODULE 02

AI & Our World

How AI shows up around us, who makes decisions, and where privacy, fairness, and responsibility matter.

MODULE 03

How Coding Got Done

How software is planned, built, tested, and improved—and what changes when AI joins the process.

MODULE 04

Build Your Own

Turn an idea into a creative project, refine it with feedback, and prepare to explain it on Demo Day.

How the program works

Learn, meet, improve, share.

STEP 01

Complete missions

Work through twelve focused missions per module at home, released in manageable waves with visible progress.

STEP 02

Meet in Louisville

Bring the ideas into a Saturday library lab for guided practice, collaborative challenges, and live building.

STEP 03

Test and improve

Use feedback, check the work, and make deliberate choices instead of settling for the first result.

STEP 04

Share the build

Finish with Demo Day: explain what was made, how it changed, and what the learner decided along the way.
