The learning arc

Understand the system. Question the answer. Build something real.

The current children’s program moves from plain-English AI literacy to responsible judgment, modern coding, and an original project. The same concept-first approach guides our forming teen and adult tracks.

Four-part builder journey

Wonder becomes judgment. Judgment becomes agency.

Each part leads with one clear concept, turns it into something learners can try, and ends with a reason to keep going.

01 · UNDERSTAND

What is AI?

Learn how machines find patterns in examples, make predictions, read words and images, and sometimes produce a confident wrong answer.

02 · QUESTION

AI and our world

Explore usefulness, privacy, fairness, power, responsibility, and why people—not tools—must decide what good use looks like.

03 · DIRECT

How coding changed

Meet instructions, bugs, languages, prompts, and agents. Practice describing an idea, testing the result, and improving it with intent.

04 · BUILD

Make your own

Take one idea through a real build loop: plan it, add layers, test what breaks, improve the experience, ship it, and explain it.

Skills that travel

The point is not one tool. It is a better way to think.

Tools will change. These habits keep their value.

Spot the pattern

See what information an AI may be using and what kind of guess it is being asked to make.

Give clear direction

Turn a fuzzy idea into useful context, specific constraints, and a result someone can actually test.

Verify the answer

Check sources, challenge confident claims, compare evidence, and know when an adult or expert should step in.

Protect what matters

Think before sharing private information and ask who can see, keep, or reuse what goes into a tool.

Debug without giving up

Treat mistakes as information. Change one thing, try again, and learn what made the result better or worse.

Explain what you made

Show the choices behind a project, describe what the AI contributed, and name the judgment that stayed human.

The operating model

AI belongs inside a workflow—not on top of human judgment.

Learners see the full system: the repeatable steps, the places AI can help, the rules that keep the work bounded, and the moments when a person needs to decide.

The mental model

Build the loop. Keep the judgment.

  • Code handles the loop. It repeats the clear steps.
  • AI handles the judgment inside the loop. It works with patterns and messy inputs.
  • Rules handle the guardrails. They define what is allowed.
  • Humans handle exceptions. People stay responsible for the outcome.
