Code the AI is being woven into school, work, communication, healthcare, creativity, and everyday decisions. At every age, the advantage begins with understanding it: how it works, what it is good at, where it can mislead you, and where it still needs a human.
Our mission
Code the Future teaches AI literacy and modern problem-solving through hands-on use, with humans retaining judgment and control. Our live founding program gives kids real AI experiences; the young-teen and older-adult tracks will apply the same learn-by-doing philosophy at the right pace and level for each audience.
The skill that matters in an AI world isn't memorizing answers — it's asking great questions, spotting when an answer is wrong, and knowing when to trust the machine. That's exactly what our game-like missions train.
Who's behind it
Jon Nichols
An operator and builder who works with AI tools every day, and a dad of two. Jon designs the curriculum and platform around the real workflows AI is reshaping — not toy computer-science exercises.
Kenya Guarnieri
A child psychologist and parent of two who helped design the platform and curriculum to be developmentally right for 8–11 year-olds — calm, confidence-building, and genuinely kid-safe.
How the current kids program works
- A weekly 90-minute session at the Louisville public library with a coach who works in the industry.
- Game-like missions at home on our web platform — 12 missions per module, built around real AI tools.
- Small founding cohorts so every kid gets seen, with a parent-friendly, ad-free experience.
Built kid-safe, on purpose
Kids join with a cohort code — no email or personal information is required from children. Chat with their cohort passes a profanity filter and is visible to staff, and the whole curriculum was shaped with a child psychologist. You can read the details on our privacy page.
